Dealer Auction License – how to get yours

A Dealer Auction License is just permission or authorization to access the wholesale dealer auctions to buy cars. Generally speaking, your dealer auction license is just a potential extension of your state issued Used Car Dealer License… or you can be sponsored into the auctions by a licensed used car dealer. Auto Auctions in this country are a closed-in network of licensed new and used car dealers, their agents and the huge network of Dealer Auctions located around the country. If you are a state licensed used car dealer and have registered your dealership with Auction Access, then you already have an auction license included.

get your dealer auction license only 2 ways

License means “permission or authorization”

Essentially, once you register your Dealership …you are then licensed (authorized) to gain access to the dealer auctions. The actual paper license document is issued by your home state. The dealer auction access license is inherent within the state issued dealer license.. but is only “activated” when a licensed dealer registers their dealership with a particular auction or with Auctionaccess (Auction Access is your link to the national network of dealer auctions). This now gives you a dealer auction license…because your dealership is registered with an auction or auction network.

What is a License?
The permission granted by competent authority to exercise a certain privilege that, without such authorization, would constitute an illegal act, a Trespass or a tort. The certificate or the (paper) document itself that confers permission to engage in otherwise prescribed conduct.

How to get an auction license to get into the dealer auctions
• Be a licensed Registered Dealer with valid Auction Access Account
• Be a contracted Agent of a Licensed Dealer who has a valid Auction Access Account

A dealer auction license (access) can be acquired by aligning yourself with a reputable used car dealer(ship) who is willing to put you onto their auction access Dealership account. If you are on Google doing a search for auction access license, that probably means you want to gain access to the dealer auctions…and not necessarily get your own dealers license (which can be a daunting process). Many people want to get in to the auctions to test out the idea of buying and selling cars, before they commit to the financial responsibility of a monthly overhead the average used car dealer must support.

Auction Access is an Extension of your Dealer License
So, you have two ways to get your dealer auction license. The first way does require you to get a location, insurance, surety bond, take a test and a few other things (Click here for dealer license requirements and applications)…in order to qualify for a Used car Dealer License. Once you have your dealers license, then you go to auction access and register you dealership . When you register your dealership, auction access will give you an Account Number. Now you are licensed to shop at the auctions… That is your auction access license…which is an extension of your used car dealers license.

The only other way to get your dealer auction License (auction access) is to align yourself with a licensed Dealership. This can be done in a number of ways…but it boils down to you finding a licensed dealer who is willing to sign you up or sponsor you into auction access. Basically, what they are doing is putting you on their dealership account. I would advise you to find a reputable dealer…so you get your own auction access card and your own dealer representative number from auction access. This dealer rep number links you to your sponsoring dealership.

How do you find a dealer willing to do this for you ? Well, I do know a licensed Dealership in Florida that is willing ($1349 yearly or $299 monthly)…all you need is a valid driver license, agree to and sign their contract, as well as pay their sign-up fee. You will get an auction access card and online buying account to Manheim and Adesa Dealer auctions. You will have access to Iaa (Insurance auctions) , as well as CarMax Dealer auctions. Or you can find a dealership on your own. It should not be too difficult to find, you can look on Craigslist and go to “Automotive Services”. Just type in auction access or  Dealer Auction License in the search box and see what comes up. You will mostly likely find a few ads that you can sift thru and call up for information. But be very careful. You have a lot of unscrupulous individuals who will try to sell you anything and call it a license. First thing you have to ask them is if they are an auction access dealership. Will you get an auction access card with your own dealer representative number. You don’t want any under the table shenanigans. Accountability and the ability to financially track all of your purchases (for tax purposes) is very important if you call yourself being in the business of buying and selling cars .

Title Re-assignments
The most important thing that your auction license does for you is get your access to a licensed Dealer that can do your title re-assignments for you in a speedy fashion. When you buy a car from the dealer auction …you are literally buying that vehicle as the dealership. So how can you re-sell it? You have to get the title re-assigned and put into the Dealer’s name. The Dealer will leave the title open (over night it back to you) , so now all you have to do is sign the title over to your customer. The critical aspect of this setup is the timely processing of your title re-assignments.

Develop a good working relationship with your sponsoring dealer, your Florida Auction License depends upon it (in this scenario). It’s his or her responsibility to get your titles and re-assignments processed quickly as well as any other documents you may need such as the final Bill of Sale. A title reassignment means that the Car (its purchase price) and its Title is on the books as being owned by the dealership….but its not actually registered (at DMV) by the dealership. The car is basically sitting in “limbo” until it’s sold and registered by its new owner. At that point, the new owner will take the title, bill of sale (along with any other necessary documents) and go to their state DMV office to pay their taxes, registration fee and get their plates.

Car Flipping made easy ~Step by step inst.

Car Flipping as a business; let me show you step-by step how to do it. It can be very profitable, because you can even buy cars at wholesale from private owners and flip for their full retail value.

Car flipping is defined (by me) as buying cars and selling them quickly.  Before your first purchase, you’ll need to decide how much money you want to put toward starting up your car flipping business.  Don’t borrow money if you can avoid it. Stick with money you already have.  You can literally get started with $1000.

car flipping is very profitable - learn how to do it

buy from private owners…

Know your pricing

Looking for cars to flip is much easier if you know how to quickly compare good and bad deals. I use Kelly Blue Book (they have a great phone app) , and Cargurus.com as my primary source of car valuation .  Of course you have Craigslist too. The real value of a vehicle is only determined by what someone else is willing to pay for it. What you’re hoping to do when you study price guides is determine the street value (what someone on the street is willing to pay) of the car. Remember these are all just guides. Your negotiation and people skills (power of persuasion) will greatly affect your car flipping results.

Start with the Popular Cars

The public loves certain cars and models. Honda Accords, Toyota Camry, Nisan Maxima and Nissan Altima, etc. You get the idea.  Car popularity varies from region to region so do a search on what’s popular in your area.  Target vehicles within the $1000-$4500 price range (Kelly Blue Book Trade-in value…not the retail value). So if you buy cars at or about wholesale from a private seller, you can flip your cars quicker by toggling your prices down a bit.

It is much easier to attract cash buyers in a lower price range, most people don’t have over $4500 in cash to spend on a vehicle. Cars over 4-5K typically require loans and financing (that slows down the sale). Less expensive cars will attract buyers who are less concerned about small cosmetic or mechanical blemishes.

How to Find Cars to Flip

  1. Create the “Car Wanted” Ad

A great way to get deals to come to you is to post wanted ads on OfferUp or Craigslist. Just grab a picture off google and use in your ad. An example of wanted ad that I’ve used is below.

AD TITLE:

I will pay top dollar for your Used Car, don’t trade it in!

AD DESCRIPTION:

If you are thinking about trading your car in, don’t do it! Car dealers will only offer you trade-in value, which is always way below what it’s worth. Sell your car to me instead. I will pay over trade-in value for any vehicle under $4500 with 175,000 miles or less. Email me the make, mileage, and condition of your vehicle and I’ll send you a cash offer that will beat a dealer’s trade-in price.  Let me hear from you is you are serious.

After you receive emails in response to the ad, copy a link to the KBB trade-in value of the vehicle and send it to the seller with an offer above the dealer trade-in price.

Here’s an email template you can use for car flipping. It’s a good idea to include the KBB link in the bottom of the email.

“Hello, Thank you for replying to my ad.  I’m definitely interested in buying your car. I’ve posted the KBB trade-in value for your car below.  Based on this, your trade-in value is $2800. I’ll offer you $3000 cash and I can buy it today.  What do you say “?

You‘ll be surprised how many vehicles you can purchase that would have been trade-ins sold at a dealership that you now own under KBB private sale value.

  1. Post ads on your Social Media Accounts

If you have a Facebook Account, Instagram or Twitter, use it to your advantage. Just about everyone knows someone who is thinking about buying or selling a car.  Use your network. Offer to pay anyone ($50-100) that helps you find a car that you can purchase to flip for profit.

Check the Car out

You’ll want to look the car over inside and out and check for any signs that the car has problems. There’s no way to totally eliminate any possibility of buying cars with problems, but you can certainly lower your risk by spending a lot of time checking it out before buying. If you know nothing about vehicles, don’t worry just make friends with a neighborhood mechanic. ,

Do Your Due Diligence

~ Check the VIN for stolen cars National Insurance Crime Bureau.

Remember, you can’t assume that the seller’s words are true gold.  Though you should make sure you ask as many questions as possible of the seller, it’s ultimately your job to do all of the research and make sure you’re buying a good car. After all, when you sell a bad car it will be your reputation on the line, not the person’s that you bought it from.

car flipping at its core is very profitable and fun to do.

offer “just above” dealer trade-in value

Finalizing the Purchase

If you’ve made it this far, money has changed hands, you have the title, and the car is yours. You have accomplished the most important part of the car buying and selling process.

Getting Ready to Sell

Low Cost Repairs

Your vehicle may be in need of minor repair before you list it to sell. Spending $100-$300 on repairs could result in another $400-$1000 on the sale of the vehicle and the fewer the amount of problems that your buyer sees, the more they are going to be willing to pay for your vehicle.

If you are good with your hands, fix the car yourself. Usually you can find private automotive technicians that work from home and offer discounted rates. They will often place an ad on Craigslist and in your local newspaper classifieds.

If you are car flipping already and need an auto dealership to re-assign your titles  Click here if you need Auction Access to Manheim, Adesa, CarMax Dealer Auctions, Iaa.

Maximize Your Profits with a Clean Car

Cleaning your vehicle is one step that you never want to leave out of the selling preparation process. Even if the vehicle isn’t very dirty when you purchase it, clean it anyway. Because this is your buyer’s first impression and people tend to judge a book by its cover, this can have a big impact on the price you can ultimately sell the car for!

Pricing the Car

This is where it all happens. The profits.  I like to price the vehicle just over KBB® value to provide a little bit of wiggle room and negotiating margin. For example, if I want to sell a vehicle for $4200 I will list the price of the vehicle as $4599. A buyer may offer $4000 and I can counter with $4199 J.

Always leave negotiating room in your prices. Buyers typically like to feel like they’ve gotten a deal, and if they’re forced to pay your full asking price, they won’t be as excited to make a purchase.

Top 3 Places to Flip Your Car – Craigslist, OfferUp, FacebookMarket Place

These three websites ( apps) are all you really need to market your cars. They are free and you can get a lot of eye balls to your car ads.  Check out my article on how to sell your cars fast on OfferUp.

I recommend that you list basic information about your vehicle in the ad. Don’t try to write a sales page because that will turn buyers off. Just list all of the features with great pictures.

With Craigslist you can list you phone number, but with OfferUp and Facebook Marketplace potential customers will typically message you first.  Since there is a large volume of sellers on Craigslist, make sure to renew your ad at least every other day. Posts that are older than 2 days usually don’t get read, unless someone does a search for a specific model. Craigslist has a policy that prohibits identical re-posts so only use the “renew” option to refresh a post, or write fresh new ads.

Negotiate for Profits

Negotiating price while selling is very similar to negotiating price when buying and is an essential part of successful car flipping. Pick a number in your mind that is the lowest price you would be willing to accept, and stick to that number.

Close the Sale

Once a deal has been made make sure that you receive the cash in hand before signing ownership over to the buyer and make sure you are very familiar with your  state’s regulations on vehicle ownership transfers.   If you are ready to get access to the wholesale dealer only auto auctions where you can get cars  at even lower costs…click here.

How to Bid on Cars at Auction and get a Good Deal

How to Bid on Cars at Auction
How to bid on cars at auction and still get a great deal? I give you a winning step –by-step strategy. Go to a few auctions before actually participating in one yourself. Get to know some of the players. Yes, actually ATTEND the auction in which you are bidding cars on. Sure, you can bid online (many people do) phone, but would you really buy a car you hadn’t seen? Do you really think that anyone ever brought a vehicle online that was better than they expected? To buy cars at the wholesale Dealer auctions, you have to have an Auction Access account.

how to bid on cars at auction

Be ready to walk away at any time

The # 1 Rule is
Always be ready to walk away…Never get caught up emotionally in a bid for a vehicle. How to bid on Cars at auction successfully is to never Get Caught Up in the Bidding! It’s easy to get carried away during bidding. Energy is high. Excitement is there…your heart is pumping….your blood is racing. Yeah, but don’t do it. You will wind up winning the bid, yeah…but also wind up spending hundreds more than a car is worth. Don’t pin all your hopes on one vehicle. Be ready to walk away. You have to have at least 5-10 vehicles that you have your eye on…and still be ready to walk away if none of them match your financial criteria. Decide what you criteria should be.. like half of the street value… or something like that. You have decide ahead of time..how much profit you want to make on a car.

Always add additional $250 for selling costs. Add additional $300-500 for mechanical costs and prep. Now if you do all that and you can not see at least $1,500 net profit on that vehicle…then leave it. It will not be worth your time. I always like to shoot for my target of doubling my money. If I pick up a vehicle for $2,000 …its because I have already calculated its “Street Value” to be at least $4,500. Or you can go by the MMR value versus the Street Value. Look for a spread of at least $3,500 to leave yourself some wiggle room on (auction and/or dealer) fees and price negotiations with your potential customer. Of course you can buy cheaper cars for $500 and sell them all day for $1200. You decide at what point you want to enter the market and what type of cars you will buy and sell.

Note: I personally don’t like auction style of bidding. I only purchase vehicles thru the “Buy Now” option

Know Car Values Before You Bid
This is probably where most people don’t spend enough time in preparation. Another very important point in how to bid on cars at auction is you have to do your research. The idea of bidding online is not to actually bid online (you can if you want to of course)…but to see what cars are available. Look thru and pick out 5-10 cars that catch your eye. Based on your business model you will filter out the cars…. You may focus only on luxury cars…or Toyotas…or whatever. Make your list….

Next you want to check the value of these 5-10 cars on your list. I like Cargurus.com …and you also have Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds give a general idea what used cars are worth. But also take time to research local prices on Craigslist and in classified listings. You want to calculate as close as possible…and jot down the street value of each vehicle.. Now my definition of the “Street Value” of a vehicle is the midpoint between the highest and lowest average price points. So if you see that your local auction house has a sweet 2009 Mercedes CLK350 ..you do your research and you want to write down the street value of next on your list.

You do this for every car. Initially this will take you 1-2 hours. A great element in how to buy cars at auction is to do your prep work and take it very seriously. After a while, if you go to the auctions regularly and do this whole prices regularly…you will get the time down to 30-40 mins. This is your most powerful tool to making money at the Dealer Auctions…is by knowing the street value of the cars you are bidding on. You will get good enough eventually that you can glance at cars and immediately get a feel for their approximate street value.

You have to have a Mechanic on standby

If you are planning to make money in this business, you have to have a mechanic that you trust. Develop a relationship with someone that you can keep on retainer or a fixed price to do any necessary “prep mechanical work” before you resell your vehicles. How to bid on cars at auction successfully is have a mechanic on standby or if possible to go in with you. f you are attending only Adesa or Manheim auctions..the cars are of greater value and in better mechanical shape, but you will eventually come across a car you bid on and buy..that needs a transmission or a new starter.

How-to-Buy-Cars-at-Auction

make friends with a local mechanic

This is going to happen. I would suggest you factor in $250 – $500 per vehicle for this mechanical fixes. It is even worthwhile to develop an automatic business savings plan where you take 10% of the profits from every car you sell and place into a bank fund just for “emergency” Mechanical Repairs

Do a visual check wherever possible
Look for small cracks in the windshield. Look underneath the vehicle for signs of fluid leakage. Make sure the VIN is clearly marked. Then check other places where the VIN might appear, such as door and trunk lid stickers. If the numbers don’t match, the car may have been in a major accident and rebuilt. Look for more promising alternatives. If a car has been well-maintained, when you pull the oil or transmission fluid dipsticks the lubricants should be clear and clean.

Many vehicles at auction sell in “as is” condition. That means there are no guarantees, no warranties and no means of legal recourse. If you don’t have the stomach to survive discovering you’ve bought a heap of trouble, don’t bid in the first place. This shouldn’t be a big issue tho, if you are dealing with Adesa on Manheim Auto Auctions… All vehicles go thru a background check and are cleared for bidding.

A visual check is not always possible , but it is important aspect of how to bid on cars at auction and be happy with your purchase. If all you have is pictures, go thru them with a fine tune comb. Call the seller if necessary 9and this is why I only do a “Buy Now” ..because I can deal one-on-one with the seller. I’m not competing with a group of people. How to bid on cars at auction is not to bid, but to focus more on “Buy Now” vehicles.

Use Your Common Sense

Cars at Adesa, Manheim and other Dealer Only Auctions tend to vette their cars a bit more. The source is primarily off lease vehicles and such…Usually you can take a look at these cars..look under the hood, under the undercarriage…interior, etc. Cars at government and public auctions sell on visual inspection alone. So look at everything and look for telltale signs of repairs such as paint overspray, less than smooth sheet metal, puddles under the vehicle, scored brake discs, an uneven stance and a million other details.

How to buy cars at auction is you have to use your best judgement with less emotion. Yes..use your eye…look for stuff that looks out of place. Gravitate to the better quality higher value cars as you can afford. They will give you the less problems (and give you bigger profits). You can get a sense of how a car was treated by looking at the interior and under the hood. Use your nose, hands and legs, too. If a car smells oily, or damp. Leave it.

Go with your gut…if it feels off. Leave it.
BIDDING is best done where you can be seen by the auction ringmen. They watch the crowd, so make sure you’re fairly close and that they can see you and your paddle. Hanging back and joining the bidding late can sometimes work, but it can also generate another bidding surge, as somebody thinks they’re missing a bet. Set your top price and don’t go above it.

Watch the other Bidders

I like to stand just to the far left or far right…so I can scope the entire front line. Take your time and watch the action closely on all the cars up for auction. Watch the people who are pulling out lists. These are the “research crew”. Mostly newbies…(veterans never bring paper lists! Lol). Watch out for guys who bid on every car. When the vehicles that you want come up..NEVER bid on it first !…NEVER bid on it first. NEVER EVER BID ON IT FIRST. I hope you got that. You don’t want to show interest or excitement at all. Only get into the bidding after the first few feeler bids have been launched and accepted …and you feel the vehicle has hit a “baseline price point”.

How to Sell Cars on OfferUp

Forget about Craigslist, learn how to Sell Cars on OfferUp. Get ads live quickly, get more eyeballs to your car ads and sell them faster and with less headache. Many of you may be totally frustrated with posting car ads for sale on Craigslist. You have a lot of hoops and hurdles to jump over. Craigslist will go out of its way it seems, to keep you honest…and still your ads will get flagged and deleted. I have been on the lookout for a Craigslist alternative for some time now. It seems that the phone apps are getting popular enough to generate enough traffic that you can actually sell high ticket priced items from them ( not just used clothes and almost new electronics). OfferUp has emerged into 2017 as arguably the best photo app to beat when it comes to selling cars.

how to sell cars from offerup

Its easier than Craigslist

Intro

OfferUp is very simple to use and is the Craigslist Car Dealer Classified Alternative. I tell everybody about it because you can post ads right from your cellphone.  Craigslist makes this difficult to do without an official phone app.

So instead of pulling your hair out trying to get your Free Craigslist ads to stick in the “For sale by Owner”  or paying $5 for each listing in the Dealer side…. How about using OfferUp ?

There is an Android and iOS version of the app. Go download it now if you don’t have it.

Craigslist was built on the web browser platform, but with OfferUp, the idea was to create a local mobile-only (phone app) marketplace. This is  how to sell cars on Offerup (with less effort and more focus on the car you are trying to sell, rather than the process of trying to post an ad itself). Instead of trying to sift thru international sellers like on Ebay, or Amazon, or scrolling through the headline descriptions on Craigslist, OfferUp is a more local, more image-friendly mobile-only marketplace.  You can scroll thru quickly get a feel for what the product is, without even clicking thru an ad.

Need Personal Credit repair or Business Credit ?

Another thing people like about OfferUp is that a person can see your profile as well as if you have any testimonials for products you have sold.  Facebook Marketplace does not have this option either.  So people can get a sense of what you are doing on OfferUp. If you want to be around for the long haul…cultivate your OfferUp profile.   You can even join TruYou  (their in-house verification  agency)  by uploading a photo of your ID so you can be verified as a being a real person, not some fly-by- night operation. This helps people to feel more comfortable with you.

How to Post ads

OfferUp uses your smartphones GPS technology to scour your area or you can easily set a range to see what cars are for sale nearby. Your search parameters are already  set by default to people 30 miles away from you, but you can toggle it up or down as needed.

I suggest you write out your car ads on a digital notepad and then store them in your phone, so you can copy and paste an ad for posting in 2-5 minutes flat.  First step is posting your pics 1-4.  Step Two As usual, all of the basic stuff should be in the title… year, model and color of the car. Then add more of a description in Step 3.

It’s easy to choose a category and a slider bar lets you set the condition the item is in. Descriptions, compared to the text-heavy Craigslist, are entirely optional. The last two steps are to simply type in a price and choose the location you’re selling from.  You will be done  in four steps.

The listings will go live immediately. You know with Craigslist you have to wait and see..sometimes for several  hours! If you are in the Atlanta area, come by the office with your cellphone and I will show you how to sell cars on OfferUp.

learn how to sell cars on offerUp

Great pics of a clean car will help you sell it faster

Important Posting Tips:

The biggest tip I can give you is to post twice a day…mornings and evenings. If you post ads in the morning, let them run all day…then delete in evening and re-post for the evening ad browsers. Your ads will gradually run down to the bottom of the page thru the day as every other ad gets posted right on top of yours.

Need Personal Credit repair or Business Credit ?

Next most import thing is to post 3-5 (or more) ads of each car you are trying to sell. If you have one car right now, you should run 3-5 ads …but in 3-5 different zip codes that are next to your home zipcode. This way you can be sure to get a full 100 miles radius of eyes looking at your car ads. You can vary the titles a bit and you can vary the body of the ads . You can even vary the order in which you post your ad picks. Don’t go overboard, you don’t want to spend 15 minutes posting your ads… they idea is to be quick. Get in. Post. Get out. So this is how to sell cars on OfferUp.

And last tip is to try and optimize your pics for size. The tall vertical big pics will always get preferential treatment to the short horizontal pics

How to buy Cars to sell without using your own Money

Learn how to buy cars to sell without using your own money. When you are just starting out in the car business and you are buying your first few vehicles, your biggest concern is will you be able to sell your cars. You just spent xyz dollars on a car and you are asking yourself  “did  I spend too much”?  “Will it sell”? etc. etc. One way to alleviate all of this anxiety is to not buy any cars with your own money at all in the beginning.  You can run an auto buying service. You can buy cars for people using their money. Why not? Keep your money in your own pocket. You can do this two ways…either way you do it, it puts money in your pocket without you taking any out. Let me present to you,  The Manheim Hustle.

buy cars without using your own money

You can sell cars that you don’t actually have in your inventory

The Manheim Hustle can be done with any major auction. I just like Manheim. You have two basic ways to approach it.

  • Get people into the auction and charge them an access fee
  • Post Pics from Manhiem inventory and get a customer to buy a car

If you want, you can post ads on Craigslist and OfferUp, etc. and tell people you can get them into the dealer Auction for a fee. You can charge anywhere from $200-$250 for this kind of transaction.  Auctions are generally held twice a week…..and you can make a quick $1,000 a week just getting people into the auctions and not ever buying a car. The dealership will charge you a $30 guest pass fee and you are just upselling it to your clients.  The guest pass has its only Dealer Rep. number issued from auction access, and that person can buy a car that day.

Ad sample:
Auction access – I can get you in the manheim, iaai, adesa,  call me today. I charge $250 for the access and no other fees. You bring your own money orders and cashier’s check to auction to buy.
Call Tony 000 000-0000

(you can use an image of a car….or not, no big deal)

This is the most simple use of the auction access.  If you have a dealer plate, you can charge them a delivery fee.  The idea is you just want to bring 4-5 people (or more) to the auctions each week. There are tons of people looking for cars on Craigslist and OfferUp. If you use Craigslist, post your ads in “Automotive Services” and Cars/ Trucks For Sale by Dealer $3. (create an Inventory ad). This article is not a tutorial on posting ads, but obviously the more consistent you are with posting  1-2 ads per day (or more), the more calls you will get. You can do this method until you:

  1. Increase your confidence
  2. Raise sufficient funds to buy your own inventory.

The second bullet point involves a little more scurrying around the internet.  First thing you do, is log into your Maheim account and look for cars. You are only looking for “Buy Now” cars in god condition under $6,000.You want something that has mass appeal, a condition report of 3.6 or better and at least a $3,500 spread between the Suggested Retail  price and the Buy Now price. So say for example you see a Nissan Maxima  for  $4,500 Buy Now and Suggested Retail is $6,800-$9,450 …then you know you can sell that vehicle for $6,500 and still make good money… but that’s not what you are gonna do. You are not buying the vehicle, you are only going to post pictures and a description of the vehicle on Craigslist or OfferUp. Post the Maxima with the Buy Now price , plus delivery charge ($100) and auction fee ($125) plus your buying fee of $675. So now this Maxima is sitting at  $5,400 and still below the street value. This is what you put online:

Hello, my name is Gerard. Im available for anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle from a Manheim Dealer Only Auction. I can provide my service for $675 per car..

Skip the Dealership, buy direct! Pay what the Dealers pay ! Lowest prices in the market.

All makes and models available. Tell me what you want and I will find it. Call me at 000 000 0000

>>Add a few good pictures<<

Both of these ads will get your phone ringing!  The idea is to get a person to commit to giving you a non-refundable deposit and you can then call the seller and leave a deposit.

Or, you can tell the potential customer  we have to get this car today, but if you cant no worries, I can get you a similar one for similar amount of money when you are ready. Then you just take it from there. Using your ability to search out cars, you can find the inventory to suit most budgets. If you are with  reputable dealership, you will have access to CarMax Dealer auctions, Manheim, Adesa, Iaai, and more…so you will be able to find something.

So there it is. This is how you start your own auto buying service, go ahead and do the Manheim Hustle
